Description

In search for inspiration, and suddenly I found it. Thanks from the pose goes to Adorkastock, for their wonderful pose: www.deviantart.com/adorkastock… This was very fun and teaching perspective/anatomy practise, although at first it was slightly hard to place the clothing! Also, the head shape looked too big at first, but I think it turned out good now.   The sword arm was hard, had to actually photograph my own hand holding a wooden sword at the pose.

Also, just got to join the Iron Age/Medieval fighting techniques reenactment group's practise the second time, and now we had basics on axe + shield (axes are mostly like swords except they're good at hooking things...). :'D

Tried a bit different style, sketchier and simpler in a way. Probably got also inspired by the game's official art, which has quite a nostalgic look to it: FIRE EMBLEM Seisen Holy War Art Works GEKKA GINYU w/Poster Book 2000 MF10 And realised I ought to draw more crouched poses.

It's レヴィン! [lit read. Rebin; Revin, if you're confused from the Japanese vs English names: fireemblemwiki.org/wiki/Name_c… X'D] He's also amongst the first heroes I got in FEH and has been my favourites ever since and now I'm finally playing his game.

Wanted to so draw my favourite 吟遊詩人 (ginyuushijin)= troubadour from the game, who's actually a prince just disguising himself while protecting villages from thieves, no actually he fled his country at a crucial moment is more like the reason for his outfit... arrogant and a little self-willed. X'D

Always imagined him standing on some remaining wall while protecting the villages. And as I drew the pose, I thought it to make more sense, if there was somebody having just swung the sword and missed, so it explains also the fallen forseti-tome of his, though as you see he doesn't seem to be completely helpless here. Maybe that's a horse rear you see on the right, galloping off.

Not too fond with the background, dunno if I like that fire, but well. The clothing's from old official arts mostly, but I thought it cooler to remove the shoes, probably my first time drawing toes this passionately. X'P Well, the official game's so pixelish anyhow, you have much more freedom imagining stuff.

Would've used Copics had I had them here, but nope, they're not here atm. Hope you like~!
