January: Marvelling The Night .
I kicked this year off with a remake of a piece I made back in 2011. In this three year gap, I've improved on how I draw the night sky, grass and, well...everything else in general. This is also the same period in which I decided to make Phoenix a slender Charizard, since I'm not too fond of Charizard's official overbite...

February: Poached .
Again, I decided to remake an oldie. This time, a 2012 piece, but it's also one of my favourite parts of Covered Tracks; while, in hindsight, I'm not fond of how I've drawn Alexa's eyes (in terms of the shape), I do love how this pic is still as intense as its predecessor.

March: Calysta .
This was when I figured out how to draw my "stylised" Charizard; start off pretending that I'm drawing a human~! ...okay, that made no sense, but this DOES show how I've improved on my Charizards, I guess...

April: Request: Petal Dance .
Clever play on words were clever. ...actually, I've forgotten the exact circumstances of which Shadow-Cipher made this request, but I kinda like the outcome. I just wish the petals didn't look like they bathed in toxic waste before dancing around the lovebird Pokémon...other than that, not too shabby~!

May: Pledgeshipping: Beach Fun .
Ah, now this is where I feel my art gets interesting and fun to make. At this point in the year, I was introduced to Fairy Tail, which inspired me to return to and tweak my former art style. ...no, it wasn't an excuse to draw Alexa in a bikini instead of a proper swimsuit...shut up.

...actually, the idea came about over a Mr Whippy.

June: Chilling Siblings .
More ice cream, yay~! I think this was when my backgrounds started to improve, as I've claimed it to be my best background so far. But I love it because it clearly shows how well Alexa and Keenan get along really well (even though such a thing has been established plenty of times in my fanfic trilogy).

July: The Bombshell .
After certain private concerns regarding Alexa's Team Galactic backstory, I debated about whether or not to utilise it in Broken Bonds. In the end, I did, but I drew this before I wrote the chapter it related to. OH MY GOD ALEXA'S FACE...I LOVE IT. I know it's wrong, considering she's completely petrified (and about to be blackmailed, for those who have read Broken Bonds chapter 29), but...I just love how it turned out!

August: Pledgeshipping: Duet .
Tomodachi Life supports Pledgeshipping~! ...at least in my game... ANYWAY, this is still a TL inspired piece; in TL, I had them sing a duet together before they got together (because of Hayden, Alexa's father), got married and gave birth to Tristan. And Keira. And Mia. And Roxanna. Lucas. And Chris. ...man, TL Pledgeshipping got BI-ZAAAAY~! ...but that's not the point... This was when I began to adore Pledgeshipping again~!

September: Pledgeshipping: The Dance .
Case in point.

I got inspired by a Westlife song and this happened. The fluffiness is too damn high.

October: Five Nights At Hayden's .
"Welcome to Hayden Thornbear's Pizza, a magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Thornbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon discovering that damage or death have occurred, a missing person's report will be filed within 90 days or as soon as property and premises have been thoroughly cleaned and bleached and the carpets have been replaced, blah blah blah..."

Five Nights At Freddy's was popular at the time; it had 4 animatronics, I have 4 main OCs - I HAD TO!!!

November: Pledgeshipping: Gala .
Wanted to take the Formal Attire route again, but I wanted to improve on Alexa's look; after seeing a green dress on my high street, I immediately halted and literally said to myself "OMG Alexa would SO wear that!", so I got the idea to slap her into a green dress. The rest of it soon followed on its own accord. Alexa's hair, however, was a wee bit hard to figure out, so...I made it a bit more curly/wavy/however you wanna describe it. The Gracidea hair clips were a semi-last minute addition, but I loved the concept enough to consider putting into Broken Bonds~!

It works because Shaymin's green. Alexa loves green.

December: Remorse .
Another remake~! This time, from 2013~! ...okay, okay, my only real excuse for this was because my plans for Hayden and Lily's date in Broken Bonds changed slightly, mostly due to my inclusion of Alexa's Team Galactic backstory. For those who've been keeping up with BB, yes, both Hayden and Lily (and Keenan because he was present at the time as well) now know about it. For those of you who DON'T understand what the pic means, Hayden and Lily are on their date at Village Bridge and Hayden is confiding in his wife about his regrets for his behaviour towards Alexa. AND I SHAN'T SAY MORE THAN THAT~! ...mostly because it's already hinted that Hayden regretted his behaviour as soon as Lily called him out on it. READ CHAPTER 34!

...better yet, read ALL THE STORIES~!

Bottom line? BEST YEAR IN ART EVER~!
