Description Edit: Changed colours
Edit2: Reduced a bit of shadow on hair (does it look any better <.< ?)
-added highlights
-made bandanna blue
-made shadows a subtle dark purple

TESTER FOR AI-KON MASCOT CONTEST <.<

As I've been saying throughout the process of doing this, Not sure on the shadows. never shaded like this before and just sort of crossed my fingers and am hoping for the best. Kinda jsut felt it out, and... ahh whatevs <.<

IM POSTING THIS BECAUSE I NEED HELP WITH COLOURS... GUH. NO IDEA HOW TO COLOUR THIS. The result it what I ended up coming up with. But... I think It could look better.

Only permanent requirements are Pink hair and Blue eyes.

If my colours are throwing you off, I have the lines/ shadows uploaded here [link]

LUL ;A; yeh.. so some suggestions/ what you think i should keep, etc. would be appreciated. I think I might do multiple entries this year since THE THEME IS AWESOME. (Which so happens to be "Warrior" huu huu.)

Yeh, it was sort of tough, and now i'm thinking of a bunch of designs that could have potentially been so much cooler hnggg. So hard to think of things sort of on the sport xD aaa too much pressure! But I am happy to hear you like it ^^ Thank you very much!! aaa, gives me a bit more confidence <.<

Yeah, I was looking for that actually, but couldn't find it ;A; so I just tried to limit my colours a bit more <.
Yeah I kind of agree that she might look a bit too detailed/ crowded <.< I was trying to avoid that, HNGGG. But maybe I'll just try and keep it a bit more simple with future entries. I was just thinking the shadows would print on to t-shirts and crap nicely... BUT MAYBE NOT. I gotta take more into account xD aaa.

I'm not sure about that forearm blade thing though. Probably not necessary to have, and it doesn't look like it would stay up if used in a fight, it might fall down.

She reminds me a bit of the main chick from FFXIII (Lightning? Some stupid-ass name, at any rate) with the little skirt thing and the pink hair and boots and such. Just a bit.

yehhhh... it's not, i just wanted to create more angles. Though perhaps you're right. I JUST THINK FOREARM BLADES ARE COOL, ALRIGHT? I was originally gonna but more ties and shit on the arm and around the blade... but I didn't wanna over complicate it ;A; If it looks stupid maybe ill take it out, though.

And yeah... I was thinking that while coloring it, especially with the red cape things. Maybe the change of colours makes her look less light lightening, though ;A; aaa. I hope it doesn't look like a rip-off, I just kinda pulled random stuff from my head. Maybe i flubbed up, though. Maybe i'll try and steer more clear of it in my next entries. Ty man!

Nah, it's not bad, it's really good. The colour switch might help you avoid the association problem. I just wondered that, if you were using it in a con, if it would be seen as derivative with that colour scheme, and be disallowed for being too similar to a copyrighted character. IT'S GOOD

Looks awesome! But as for colours, I think in general try to limit your colour palette a bit more. IT's pretty good how it is, but you have a lot of different types of blues and pinks/reds in there... Using less colours really helps to tie the image together. Lol I hope this helps... I'm not that much of an expert either, so I don't blame you if you totally ignore my advice! : P

Yes, I think you are right. Too many colours going on, I ended up trying something esle out, keeping it to only come certain colours and I think it looks at least a bit better now with the simplicity <.< ! No problem! :> Yeah it looks sooo much better now! Colour palette's working well now, got some nice harmonies going on, and less busy looking. The way you have it also makes the pink pop out nicely--more of a focal point. Not sure what you have planned for added shading or whatever, but I think it might be good to use a deeper purple, just to add a little contrast, since all the colours are pretty pale right now. Add a bit of drama. (It would also make it recede a bit in space, since it's behind her.) If it were me, I might try darkening up the scarf as well (same blueish hue, just a darker shade)... Hope any of that is useful! O_o Looking forward to seeing it finished!
