Description
'Gently by the lake, hold that paddle tight and move the burnt sticks and boxes out of the way... another place, another event that happened in this realm of memories. I remember that it was a foggy lake, that seems to stretch on. A disaster happened in this place, something that made me refuse to turn my head around to look at it.. i feel a plethora of negative emotions... but all is washed out as the boat begins to swerve gently away from the shore. into the middle of the lake. I row towards the land in the distance, into the majestic mountain... i row to forget. Eventually, i'm far enough that when i turn around there's nothing but fog... I'm safe.'

The splashes of white contrast well against the dark background and atmosphere. The effect gives a strong sense of foreboding but also purpose, like that of someone on a journey.

I accidentally read the entire description with the tune of 'Row your boat' lol. It actually fit at the beginning. XD.
Apart from that, this painting feels so serene. I can't say enough how awesomely fitting your color pallete is. Its not too dark nor too bright. Perfect. And that description, you should try writing a storybook or something.

I think it's interesting how the composition kind of guides you to that mountain. Assuming that "the bad" is right behind, could it be that the mountain represents something that is to come? something positive or mysterious even?

I want to paint it as the hope, the light that is in the end of the tunnel. something that shows that if you can pull through the bad times, you will arrive at the good ones eventually. it will be all be worth it kind of message

Absolutely amazing work on this artwork, I like the colors you choose as well for the atmosphere of your painting, I’ve used to paint landscapes awhile back, but gave that up, your works really inspire me to get back into doing that.

Rowing through life's awful moments can be a grueling task, and possibly one in which no end in sight is visible. But just as you said, the fog of time helps us to see these tragedies as nothing more than a hazy picture. Love the art and can't wait for the next. I especially like the little touches. the crates on the side, the fireflies, and is that a line of smoke in the center just before the mountain, or is it snow?

It mostly fog or some really thin snow due to the cold atmosphere there. And i agree with you, but as we gain experience the moment we turn around will be just fog and nothing more.
