When I saw the small preview I thought it was a photo, so I came here to see what settings it was taken in, only to be stunned and surprised when I realised it's a painting. It's AWESOME!!
I really love the sun rays, the shadows the lightning... simply everything - a job well done.

The picture is stunning, it really is. Loving the play of light through the forest, so well represented, and omg the leaves! All those leaves! And getting the light right on them so that they look like they're in the forest. Wow.

But some enjoyment in a picture also comes from some background knowledge. It is nice to know that this is where you go walking, it gives me a sense of personality to the picture.

However, I would say that I also enjoy reading a bit about the mechanics of the picture creation. I like it when the artist gives a bit of information about what software and hardware they used when they made their images, and for those with a sense of time (I definitely lack this), a ballpark of how long it took to create the image. So I will ask specifically - what did you use to create this image? And do you know approximately how long it took you?
