I got tired of knocking my water bottles off the post vise every time I needed to file something down, and I had plenty of spare rod and a small staple that wouldn't hold anything else...Necessity is the mother of invention, but MacGuyver is the father.

I believe that you will save quite a lot of time with that. It's the small problems and irritations that mount up and swallow work hours and spoil one's mood.

Ah yes, plastic bottles in the forge. It always looks nice after they've been hit by a shower of welding sparks. ^_^
