Another oldie, but as long as I'm on an Ultimate Jessica Drew streak.Always did hope for more on her before she totally 'fit' with her new identity. Hadn't read the current comics, though what I saw don't seem to directly associate her with her own 'female clone' origins. It always seemed like Bendis had things planned for her, whether it be the Johnny Storm love triangle (or lack thereof) or how she was getting along on her own, but Ultimatum just kinda got in the way, and now she's on SHIELD, and kinda just another superhero. I dunno. Always figured there was a lot to explore there.
Maaaaybe not like this, but you know. I wouldn't complain.

I had this huge idea for her, and was looking forward to seeing if Marvel went along with it. But Ultimatium ultimately (heh) killed my interest in ALL comics. I just couldn't take it any more. USM was my all time favorite comic that I grew up with. I had been reading it since issue 1. I know people love Miles Morales, but I can't stand the little shit. USM was so good and it was just ruined and it still hurts.
And Jessica was one of my favorite parts!

To be fair though, in the comics they haven't exactly said one way or the other what her sexual preference really is beyond her seemingly having some lingering feelings for MJ, (Although she seems to wave it away) and making out with the Human Torch (Although that happens off panel and all we have to go on is Johnny boasting that he made out with Jessica, and we all know what kinda guy Johnny Storm is, lol). So, until otherwise, it's, pretty much up to the imagination. Which is fine by me. xD

Judging by Johnny saying he's tired and "it's insatiable and refuses to stop", and Jessica is wearing his shirt and Peter looks like he's about to vomit, I would assume he's saying that he and Jessica have been having sex for six months, And that she seems to be a nymphomaniac. (Meaning she's wearing him out with too much sex. lol) Plus I'm sure knowing that his best friend is sleeping with his female clone freaks Peter the F*** out.

lol, well it does seem like what the author was going for, and I did follow the actual Ultimate Spider-Man comics up until they brought in the new Spidey. How freaked out Peter was when he found out that Johnny simply made out with Jessica in the comics couldn't possibly be any more worse and disturbing than if they, well, let's just say rounded third base.

Personally I don't think Bendis had much planned; he had a cool concept, but I think exploring it wasn't something he was too interested in (judging from the 'you're a separate person the moment you started thinking of yourself as Jessica drew' conversation at the end of Ult Clone Saga).
Still, the times when she isn't around does leave some big blank spots for mental filling ^^

I agree to a point. Jessica quoted Multiplicity (of all things) about Jessica Drew becoming her own person. But she still had all of Peter Parkers memories. There seemed to be potential if not a plan. Then after Ultimatum, there was Jessica's run in with Aunt May, Kitty Pride and Johnny Storm. When Johnny asks Jessica out and then they cut to Johnny bragging that he kissed Spider-woman I was expecting Bendis to follow up that development. That seemed to imply he was starting something. Then nothing. Even the Ultimate Enemy trilogy implied that he had more planned for her. So much potential and sooooo, disappointing. Who better to train Miles Morales than the person who has all the memories and experience being Spider-man. But no. She just gives him a costume. Wtf?
