Tommy Richardsen // Trichardsen // Facebook // 500px // Google+ // InstagramFrom hands down the most insane night of aurora I have ever seen, not that it was the strongest that has been but the color display was so different than the usualy mostly green auroras.
Shot with a Nikon D800, 14-24mm f2.8 @ 14mm, F2.8, iso 1600, 6 seconds.
Noise reduction and sharpening has been done with channel edit of red, green and blue to get the most noise free yet sharp image.

It really draws you in, like, the smell of bacon in the morning. The colors are beautiful, and blended well. I love how you took a landscape picture, showing the viewer not just the sky, but the mountains. The sky lights up the mountain, leaving an air of elegance and, at the same time, a touch of peacefulness. The picture makes the mountains look untouched, usually a rare sight in modern times. The beautiful view makes you want to visit, and see the northern lights. It also looks romantic and majestic, the mountains reaching up and touching the sky. It's truly beautiful, indescribable in words.
