Oh wow, I'm just blown away! With just the thumbnail, I thought it was a photograph, but even looking at the actual image, it still looks very realistic. Only the slightest hints give away that it's a painting.
You give a lot of detail to this, even the smallest things such as the thin black lines that separate each yellow feather on its wing, and the small, wispy, white feathers that separate the wing from the breast. It certainly gives the impression that it's fluffy and soft, and very delicate to the touch.
You've picked a beautiful subject to paint, as the vibrant yellow and red contrast so lovely against the pitch black that surrounds those brilliant colours.
I've looked at your profile and you mention you're a self-taught artist. How long did it take for you to paint this? And would do any tutorials on how you paint things like birds, and the scenic sky paintings? (If you do have some, I'm sorry, I haven't looked too far yet D: )

It's quite old painting and I guess I did this one within a week, I don't really remember. I never saw any tutorials for birds, just a references
