Description This originally started off as a sketch, inspired by one of Sylvia Plath's short stories; but as it developed I kept calling it 'Sylvia'; and then it struck me that this would make a good portrait of her - even though I have no idea what she looked like - it's a comment on her soul.

This is not at all like the photographs that I've seen of Sylvia Plath, but it's a great painting!! I love your style of art!!

Thanks - I think I was aiming to get the essence of Sylvia Plath rather than the physical likeness. I know she's more attractive than this

I don't think that Sylvia Plath was attractive - I liked your depiction of her much, much better, and I believe that you achieved your aim!!
