My second drawing this year, and so far there is no drawing with which I have been this pleased.

This is a potrait of my dear mother . I already drew this same portrait back in 2007. You can see it here [link] . She was really happy with it back then, and really pleased this time.

Drawing the same image has allowed me to see how much I have improved over the last three years (just under three years). It has also showed me how using better tools really does make a difference.
It was done on A3 sized paper, my scanner is A4 so the image you see is not complete, maybe I'll get a chance to scan it better, and I will then replace this image with a larger one.
Used:

A3 smooth bristol
graphite pencils: b, 5b, 7b, 6h, h
black pastels; cretacolor nr.1 extrasoft
regular and kneadable eraser
tissue paper
