depends what medium you're using
most important thing for drawing ANYTHING is to think of objects in 3D, that everything will reflect and hide lights in different ways ^^
observing,learning from masters will help a lot...
for hair.. unless you want to go into hyperrealism, i don't suggest shading hair strand by strand, instead, as 'slabs'
like [link] you just faved? o3o hair kind of curls slightly and that's where the shadows go in....
blah that was a bad example.
just observing and noting how shadows follow shapes will really help ^^ its not something i can explain well, something you have to learn by intensively studying art instruction books or getting teacher help

no i don't have a livestream, i think its creepy when people watch me draw ... it makes me conscious of what i'm doing.
good art instruction books can be free if used up to about $50 brand new? my faves are around $9-$30 each but i just don't have that many books ^^"

I would take an art class at my high school, but the art class doesn't focus on what I want to draw. It goes places... It goes from drawing, to sculpturing, to arranging things, to cartoons... D: I was thinking of taking an art class in college. o.o

Well, I'd like for it to be more than just a hobby... Something I can make money off of... more like a minor, as a secondary kind of thing... You know, like commissions and stuff. ^-^
I'd like to go home, take out textured paper, draw something, frame it, hang it up, and be proud of it... I want to be able to fill up a sketch book and be happy looking at it over and over again.

I'm HORRID at 3d art... xD I had to make a mask for one of my classes... and I tried to give it a dog-like muzzel.. it's lopsided. And my current project for that class is a pinata... and it's like.. god, not good. xD
