Description My drow-lynx hybrid Astar gets the watercolour treatment. I quite like this: it shows more than any of the other pictures of him that his skin is actually quite light for a drow, far more slate-grey than black.

I love his eyes, and his lips look so good. You put so much detail into the lips yet they don't look girly! Dunno how ya did that but, KUDOS to you! Also really like how the hair turned out, especially the whisps in the back, and his floofy ears.

I love wheeeskers. Don't ask me about those lips...that and the nose gave me a trail for a good few days. Hmmph. Damn human-type noses. I'm really pleased you liked him, though, comments and praise from you always mean a lot.

He is an interesting character, I'm definately thinking! That expression is very engaging and powerful, what beautiful eyes those are. The lovely purple is really set off by the rest of the dark/whiter colour scale, and maybe for that reason alone, I actually find that it's rather difficult to look away from, that gaze of his. He holds you in his power Lovely watercolour work, I love the natural media texture. (and he is beautiful, too ) And that hair...

Thankyou, I'm very glad you think so! he seems to be the most popular of all my boys....can't think why. I think the thing about Astar, as =Sereda has said many a time, is that he just loves being looked at, and every time I draw him he has that aura about him, the "just keep staring, you know you want to..." aura...

It's his lynx-shapeshifter blood that makes him paler than your average drowling. I'm very happy you like him.

I had a couple of nice ref photos lying around that I used on this one. Had to change quite a few things about the refs though....changed the shape of his jaw, his ears, slimmed his nose...
I've had such lovely compliments about his eyes. Will have to try painting eyes this way again...
