I've squealed about it to you countless times already, but I think I need to tell you again-- this is AMAZING, m'dear. Thank you very much for it. Both the kitties look so great, and Lynz and I both agree that Kendrick (the lion, for those keeping score ) looks pretty sexy. Heh.

My, your lions are absolutley lovely! How I wish I could do felines with your talent! Everything about the two looks great, except the lion's nose is... Off, kinda crooked. Sounds like a big issue but in comparison to the rest of the pic, it's not.

Your coloring steals the day again. Remarkably well done shading only adds to the perfectly applied colors, vivid and dull in the right places. I also like your clothing folds *envy* and the texture on the panther's sweater-jacket-thing. Very good work!

This seems to be a thing of mine...lions with crooked noses! I tend to do it to my own lion Vladimir too...must be genetic...!

I always thought I was going to be a painter, and then I discovered what could be done with a good set of coloured pencils, and I don't paint nearly so much anymore. Clothes ae tough - I usually use references to get folds right, and I did for the lion's shirt - the panther's sweater was improvised!

Lovely work. I know nothing about the characters, but I like the contentedness of the scene. The look in the dark one's eyes is so tranquil, and that room really embodies the old idea of what a 'study' should be. Very academic looking also somehow.

I don't know a great deal about them either: I get a potted history when I do commissions, but not much else.
I just love green leather sofas...when I'm rich someday I will have a study and fill it with stuff like this.

I really like it. The detail of the composition is very nice. It all blends together so well. I'm horrible at drawing detail with clothing and such. Never quite sure where creases look right or how many should be present. I love the cross hatch on that sweater.

Thankyou, Llun. This was my second try at composition for this piece, and I'm glad it worked out, cos I was a little worried about the interaction between them.

The clothing, ach, clothes are tough. I improvised on the sweater, and used a ref for the lion's shirt.

It's not a job as such, it's just I have a lot of little..things. I'm doing a piece for 's Stricken competition (it's kind of like :seedydeedee: 's Pygmalion Syndrome, but different.)
I'm also foing to do some more Dead Night stuff, but I feel more inclined towards Hatter Girl than MockNBird at the moment.
I'm now writing episode reviews and character bios for [link] I'm really excited about that.
And finally, I'm trying to improve my drawing skills, I'm uploading a piece later today which is better than my old stuff, but it's still very rough.

Backgrounds are my scourge. I love the way my work looks with backgrounds, but I really have to push myself to make them. The panther is West.
