Sarabi always walked by Ukavu's side to the watering hole no matter how old her cub has gotten. Ukavu understood why his mother was so protective of him, she had gone through so much. She lost her King and son who was a mere cub at the time, never getting to raise a family until now. She was hurt before and as a strong former queen was never going to let that happen again. She adopted him out of pure love and motherly wishes; Ukavu could never be against her protective love wanting to protect her just as much. Once age finally got to Sarabi and she could no longer hunt, she would stay within Pride Rocks den as Ukavu took care of her when needed. King Simba could rest easy knowing his step-brother was keeping an eye on their mother and even getting her to go out for water every day.__
Wanted to draw some Sarabi and Ukavu again! I wish the series gave Sarabi more love, she went through sooo much. This is also my headcanon to where Sarabi is in TLK2 and TLG, that she's within Pride Rock most of the time and Ukavu takes care of her. I originally wrote more but my computer crashed and I had to retype all this ;(
