Description

Finishing up with part 8 of my 90s-esque practice series. The characters are original, if you were wondering. I wanted to practice a bunch of things with this series, including costuming. I want to be able to "translate" the way clothing looks and works in real life into a more anime-style. It's impressive how the professionals manage this, and I see it when-ever I draw fanart of a character. Doing it myself was challenging and I still have a lot to learn, but progress is progress.

Another thing I wanted to work on was a sort of 90s style. I feel like I have a lot to learn from older anime styles, especially around structure and color choice. Ideally I'd like to combine what I like about modern anime with what I've learned here.

One thing I didn't accomplish was getting these pics done more rapidly. They aren't particularly complex, but a lot of things just kept getting in the way. I'll try to work on that now.
