Frollo was still self conscious after his dismal first day as minister of justice. Arriving home after a wild goose chase that slammed him in prison outside of Paris and looking so dirty his own men didn't recognize him was not the first impression he wished to give off. Still he was thankful for Juliana correctly identifying him after he had vanished in the night with the gypsy king. He was so embarrassed about it but Juliana merely bathed with him and offered he'd join her at the midsummer festival the following evening to repay her. Frollo always hated social events, he found them so draining and risky. That was partly why he had most of them banned in the first place. But after Juliana had helped him save face he felt it was the right thing to do to properly thank her. She also noted having him there as a public official can perhaps clear his name a little to help the public support him a bit by joining the community in a public celebration. After making a fool of himself he was more than open to that.... No sense in driving the public further away from his order.

The party was in full swing, the public both rich and poor were taking part in dining, drinking, dancing, and viewing the king's fireworks. Frollo tried to pretend he didn't exist and kept to the shadows like a wallflower. Juliana noticed this and figured a change must be done. She asked him to dance with her. Frollo about choked on his wine at the proposition. He had never danced in his life before and promptly declined. He wasn't about to embarrass himself in front of everyone again. The public was probably still laughing at the sight of him walking home barefoot, covered head to toe in straw and mud, only to get arrested by his own men when he returned. But Juliana could only smile at him and pulled him from the shadows. She told him not to worry, she'd teach him if he just followed her lead. Frollo swallowed and went with the flow. Everyone was staring which made him stiff as a board. The maiden brushed his cheek and told him to keep his eyes on her and let the music guide him. Keeping his focus on Juliana helped and he began to loosen up. The sound and lights were making the world blur into shapes and colors, camouflaging the guests around them. Soon they were clapping to the rhythm and joined the pair in the plaza. It was an out of this world experience for Frollo and he loved Juliana for it. The two soon broke away from the crowd and watched the fireworks light up the Paris sky.
