Progress on an animation I've been working on...Hmm -- I really am dissapointed with this...I don't know 
Hope you guys like it! I stare and stare and pick at it more and more untill I don't like it at all....so I'd better stop! haha
Hope to have a background sorted and I'll Post it when it's done!
Probably will scrap once the final piece is uploaded!

You need to add a few more frames to make it less stiff and more graceful, but for the most part, great job!

Looks really nice! Only two issues I see are his head could use more motion and he seems kind of stiff.

It is extremely nice! The only things I find wrong with it are, The gait is just a tad too small (Like he's mini-loping) And he's too stiff <3 But other than that it's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!

The body looks "stiff".

what did you use to animate this? because I'm making an anime/manga, manga and anime... lol... and i want to animate the first chapter before doing anything else to make sure it looks ok. by the way, awesome work.

Very smooth. Nice rocking motion. I'd like to see a little more 'lift' in the mane, but that's just nitpicky.

I am not good at drawing horses, but I ride, and know quite a bit about them. There are only two things wrong here: the neck and head doesn't flow with the body movement (Its too still) and the suspension time is too short (The time between the last beat, and the first beat passes by to quickly) To fix the suspension issue, you simply need to add more frames, to connect the suspension with the start of the canter cycle. Other then that, it's fabulous! I could never do anything like that. You are very tallented. Hope my constructive critique helps! It sometimes good to review old work, and add too it, because it improves your skills.

hmmm i dont see much wrong with it all that the neck and head are too still, horses heads kinda move back and forth when they walk trot and run (sorry for my apparently terrible grammar -.-')

Nope; horses don't have elastic spines. If you look as a hi-speed shot of a horse galloping, you'll see that it's back is almost completely stationary.
One thing that I would add in, though, it a slight head bob.

It's nice but the gait is wrong he looks like he's not cantering normally it looks like a cross between a trot and a canter, this is not a mean comment. sorry if you think it is

This is great! The only thing that irks me is that it seems like the head should be bobbing. That's probably why you feel like you're dissapointed with it. Otherwise, it's perfect!!!
I believe there are horses in Wolf, you know. Maybe you would be in charge of them if you chose to work there! That'd be great! Your style rocks. Deff. my favorite horse style! Can't wait to see those new ToTH pages, by the way!

I would suggest more head and neck movement.

Also perhaps a little more extention in the forelegs too- unless it's meant to be a collected gate, in which I'd suggest making more of a bounce- the whole body should kinda 'pop' upwards in a collected canter. The head should be going through a wide 'rocking horse' motion in time with the leading leg.
...Sorry, I had to stare at a lot of horses in slow-mo last semester for my equine biology module. we did a full gait analysis and so I got a lot of it drummed into my head

The neck and head might be a little bit stiff, but this looks fantastic! I especially love the way his tail moves.

okay i hate doing crits but can i just give you a few tips?okay first off i think his mane needs to be moving more and his head neck and back seem to be a little too stiff maybe you could make the neck move just a little more?

The animation is absolutely fantastic, the leg work is amazing but I think if you made the mane and the tail move a bit more, along the the head, then I think it would of been perfect!

Here the reason why this may be unappealing to you:
The head doesn't move. Well, it moves, but his eye, mouth or bangs don't. Where's the expression and life??? You put it in most of your other art...
