"You were at the sunrise race, weren't you?
The moon is watching, why aren't you playing and enjoying yourself like the other young ones?"
He stared at the shimmering green female harpia, forgetting that, being a bird himself now, it was perfectly natural for another bird to speak to him.
The harpia waited patiently
At last he stuttered,
"I-I'm sorry, but I don't belong here."
"That's a strange thing to say." She answered,
"You don't look tamed, and yet your manners would suggest so. Were you raised by humans as a hatchling?"
"You could say that." He muttered sheepishly.
She smiled kindly,
"Come. I'll guide you through the night."
