What would it be like to be a goldfish? What if any pain, troubles, and fears you had are gone after 30 seconds?

You'd think that this would be great, having a fresh start every 30 seconds, and it would allow you to focus more on what you're doing. But all the good things like joy and peace would be gone, too, after 30 seconds. You weigh your options, and decide that they can be sacrificed for now. You'll get them when everything's done.

You feel tired, and then too tired to eat, and then too hungry to sleep, and then you wake up tired again.

The will to take a break or to seek help and get out of this mind-filling mindless mess is forgotten after 30 seconds because there are "more important things to handle first."
Or perhaps the will was never there because you convince yourself that there's nothing wrong
Or that you should fix it alone
Or that you are alone.

You've been a fool to think that things would ever be done, and by now you've forgotten that joy and peace exists if you take a break for once.

I thank DestinyBlue for hosting this challenge. She has been an inspiration not only for artists with her unique style and lighting, but also for those who struggle to get out of the void, those to struggle to understand the void, and those who are trying not to slip back into the void.

This challenge was also a challenge for me to finally digitally shade a face fully. Jumping from coloring skies with wild finger and wrist movements, it's hard to control shading with a brush, smear tool, and airbrush, and especially when the laptop touchscreen is slightly sticky from the heat. There was a lot more firsts that came with painting this, and the whole piece did make me flail outside of my comfort zone Thank you for helping me get the will to go for that push.
