Not to complain about the detail in such fine work, but that helmet does leave those Elven ears very vulnerable.

Well, to be fair, elves don't exactly have the same ears as we humans do. So elven armor will need to cater to their physiology.

Oh indeed, no arguement. Still, can't have them exposed and vulnerable. Perhaps the helmet could be slightly wider? I forget what the proper term is for the ridges that certain helmets had, from Ancient Greece to the Middle Ages. Even Cavalry helmets of the Napoleonic era, they were still trying to remedy that problem. Not necessarily for Elves, but still.

Haven't used DeviantART in so many years due to studying Architecture but i'm glad this is the first art work I am seeing after all this time. Its beautiful, I love the brush-stroke/matte kinda sticky oil feeling i'm getting from this. Remarkable!ย

Beautiful and professionally done. The helmet especially reminds me of 16th century European armor. I would like to point out that, to be functional, the helmet should not have such large ear-holes. To our knowledge, Earth fauna with large ears always have flexible ears supported by cartilage. A being wearing a helmet would be able to fold back her ears with a minimum of discomfort. Just a thought.ย
