If we're following the later version of the myth, where Medusa once was very beautiful and was turned into a monster because Poseidon raped her in Athena's temple while he got away unharmed, I can pretty much imagine that Medusa feels no regret at all when she's killing as many men as possible and hence radiates the beauty of true inner peace...
