Our little friend is wondering what he is seeing.
If you're wondering too, here's what it is:
FUTATSUKI-YUNOMI (蓋付き湯呑 /or -chawan 茶碗) = special Japanese porcelain tea bowl (teacup without handle) with a lid, usually for serving the guests in very formal traditional way (and always on a saucer). Normally, the bowls (cups) are without lid = futanashi (蓋なし).
And as always:
Peace, Love & Teas!
