Description Doesn't this piece just make you go aww, I think these two are cute together. They are house sparrows, but their genders are indistinguishable; I apologize for not spending more time looking at references during the painting process. I was inspired by the sparrows that flock around my house year-round. They seem to like our lawn--despite its ugly browness--more than the neighbors'.
This is my non fantasy side (non fairy side) and it took more effort and resolve in the beginning just to stick to it and pull through. I give myself a pat on the back for that. If you have any non fantasy ideas, I'm accepting commissions--though I'm not sure how to accept payments yet.
Oh and of course, birds like these wouldn't let those lovely butterflies go to waste...plus the size of that breed of butterfly is about the same size as the sparrows themselves. Sorry for the errors, but I hope it all looks nice together however innacurate.
