Whoaaa, this has a really nice flow to it. I can see why you would worry about the tree taking too much attention from the character, it's a marvelous tree! But I also think the character in it self is very interesting and eye catching

What an awesome style.
Despite the main tree and BG being complex and full of details, you managed to keep the attention in the guy, who is relatively simple.
It's like an inverse technique of working your focal point.
The cold colors also gives a misterious feeling to it, and the complementary ones were used just right.
Just a question. Did you use any textures?

Thanks! As I kept painting the tree I was afraid that i'd lose the focus on the character so i put in some branches, and let the flow of the trees go towards him to aid the viewers eye. no textures used in this one if i remember well.
