Good for the most part. The only things I can really complain about is that I'm not understanding my Classical Mechanics class (we're doing Fourier Transforms), and the fact I don't have a girlfriend

I'm going to the University of Connecticut to study chemical engineering.
I thought about going into writing, but then I figured that if I somehow got a job in it they'd expect me to actually finish my work. x3

Writing's always something you could do on the side; in fact, that's pretty much the only way you can do it (financially speaking). I'm sure you know this, but if you wrote a novel, you'd only get paid for it once you make a deal with a publisher to distribute/sell it. And they certainly wouldn't make a deal with someone who's had nothing published before.
What I'm trying to say is, if you want to continue writing in the future (and get paid to do it), starting a story/plot/script now and adding things to it while doing your University/actual job career will greatly help you.

I hate the writing field for that reason. You can't get anything published until you've had something published, but then some people get published /somehow/.
I figure I'll keep writing and see how it goes. ^^

If you're writing to publish, and not for yourself, keep in mind your target audience. Vocabulary, novel structure (chapters/'books'). Is there room for a sequel? Are the characters interesting, believable, and (possibly) relatable?
Having a well written book by no means instantly nets you a publisher; in fact, I suspect it's more about the people you know than anything else. But it certainly helps
