# Interests
Favorite visual artist: Hard to pick a favorite that's famous, so I'll give props to my brother, "Mr. DNA."Favorite movies: The Big Lebowski: voted my #1 fave in 1998, 20 minutes before the movie ended. Still #1.
Favorite TV shows: Game of Thrones + I have a lot of respect for Rookie Blue because of this line: "Can you do that thing where you zoom in and clean up the image?" / "You know that doesn't really work, right?"
Favorite bands / musical artists: Talking Heads, even though my wife makes fun of Psycho Killer while listening to any other Talking Heads song.
Favorite books: I'm an English teacher, so I get to cop out and say "too many to list" while you just take my word for it.
Favorite writers: Same lame excuse as above.
Favorite games: Secret of Mana is my all-time #1. Anything co-op from the original Mario Bros. to Monster Hunter is on my list.
Favorite gaming platform: Nintendo took the most of my money, so they automatically win. To my Dreamcast, which caught fire when I first plugged it in in Hong Kong but kept on ticking for two more years, "R.I.P."
Tools of the Trade: Pen, paper, scanner, Pixen... just ordered a Bamboo Craft to take paper and scanner out of the equation. Paper, scissors and camera, for all that cut-out stuff, plus iMovie for "The First Valentine."
Other Interests: Skiing. Because I can. Not golf. Because I can't.
# About me
I'm making a web comic called "Huntresses Attack Monsters ...in 2D!" Check out HAM2D.com to see two barbarian schoolgirls survive and thrive in a generic monster-infested fantasy world.# Comments

Good to hear from you!
I'm doing a lot of writing these days, and I finally sold Monster Hunter for store credit when I went Christmas shopping, as it was hard for me to get in any game time now that the kids are older.
I was very much inspired by the game and the interactions on the Unity board. I've recently written about a character called "Bouldergut, the Barbarian." Just last night, I told other writers where I got the name. (Your drawing of the muscle-gut helped inspire that.)
How are things going for you? Still "hunting?"

Yeah, still kicking it with the old crew... I almost hunt exclusively with Seraphie, Darius, Jer and some other people.
You sold the game!!! :< Awww... but its understandable. I can only play some Fridays, since I work now (its M-Th, lame... not really FT but at least its a job), so I understand.
Bouldergut hahahahah! How's your game development going? I've been thinking of going back to school or just learning off books about graphic design and try my hand at freelancing...

I decided to stick to writing. I ended up winning a (very small) writing contest and stuck around on that writing forum. One of the guys who took part in the contests I've hosted has a decent sense of humor, so we're working on a collaborative project.
The plan is to release an e-book series. The working title is "TUSK: The Ultimate Sidekick." A game would have been fun to make, but writing is my only real talent. I finally had the sense to work with a talent I actually have.
(If I can release "Virgin Cavegirls" as a short story, or use that for a TUSK episode, I will. Or maybe a Bouldergut episode, if I dare to juggle a collaborative project with a solo project.)
On Monster Hunter, a part of me hated to sell the game, but I think I sold it in December and the last time I played was July. The funny thing is that I still want to buy Diablo III. I foresee slow leveling followed by me selling the game before I reach level 60.

Make sure you release it for the NOOK! I'll be the first to buy it! <3 (And shamelessly plug it on Unity)
Its great when you really, really find something that just clicks for you... I hope to be able to get to that point someday ^_^
If you have time, do you think I can draw some comic strips of any shorts you have? I'm trying to expand my portfolio. I already have a campaign on my facebook asking my friends for requests.

I'd be honored, if that's something you'd like to do!
Here are a few you can choose from:

[link] < A Christmas-themed episode (TUSK)
[link] < A Year of the Dragon episode (Bouldergut)

^ My entries in a thread where you make up stories based on a given noun
(Bouldergut became an instant hit here)

Thank you! I'll be having a bit of time... I won't be able to get to work any time soon because my car just got stolen.
._.
I'll read these and see what I'll be able to do!

Good to know. And the car's fine, I take it.
I'm working on an e-book. It will take a while, but I'm having fun writing it.

Yeah, a few dents and scuffs. They poured something in the transmission fluid reservoir, but other than that, it was fine.
I just had to get it from the towyard so that cost me >_>

Why pour stuff into a stolen car? What's with idiots like that?
I get that they don't respect other people's property, but you don't even gain anything for stealing a car and just banging it up and doing stupid things to it.
I guess whoever did this can only keep it up for so long before they finally get caught and find out whether prison-rape is as common as they say it is in the movies.

I'm picturing one of those policemen with the megaphone: "Move along... nothing to see here."
Well... eventually, there will be. The Valentines for my daughter's preschool sparked the idea for that Adam and Eve animation, and since my first attempt at animation seems to have worked out okay, THAT sparked the idea to make more. Only next time, I won't make everything out of hearts.
Except maybe the faces... I like the look.
