I swear, in all the years I've been on DA, your stock photography is the most prolific and most original I've ever seen. Β I keep on telling myself that I want to create some fantasy art - and I am certain your work would be the best reference imagery that I could find...if only had the time. Β I never tire of viewing your gallery, however. Β It's simply FANTASTIC!

It's not truly a manipulation, it's a retouch, so I don't mind you using the work for practice and yes you can leave it up but I cannot permit prints of it because it too closely resembles my original work. (In fact it IS my photograph with some filters on, no additional elements were added, it is exactly as I shot the image, and your watermark added...) I can do that stuff myself. Thank you very much for crediting and notifying me. I hope you understand where I am coming from.Β

The frontier between photomaipillatin and retouch is confuse. I understand many people has prejudices against filters. I respect it but, what is the copy and paste of one image into another but another filter.
All my gallery is like this. I do not pretend to have done any other thing that a retouch. I submitted it to "photomanipullations" just because dA has not a "retouch" option.
I never upload prints except in many few ocassions and always with the permission of the original's owner. It's not the case in this one.
For me, the most important thing when I do a retouch is that the photographer/owner likes it. If you do not like it, pleas, let me know to remove it and to stop working on your nice "Seven" as I'm working know.

It's not the filters, it's the filters -alone-. The folks I know, including myself, who do photomanipulations do an awful lot more than copy and paste. It is painstaking, time consuming work. The important thing is it does not resemble the original photo too closely, because then it's not really the artist's vision, but the photographer's. It's actually a form of redistribution, but I understand why you submitted it where you did. Retouching is, in and of itself, an artform that not everyone can do, and you do it well. It was troubling to me that you were allowing downloads of the piece. I mentioned prints because I would have asked you to remove that, but you have not done so, so thank you. You may keep the image up, but please do not allow downloads, and please mention in the description that it is a retouch. You are good at it. I'm not trying to be a bad guy, I am trying to help you understand the confusion. Β

You are not the first person with whom I have this problem, so I can understand and respect your point of view. I think that what matters is the beauty or lack of beauty of a piece, no matter the tools used to achieve it. In this sense, there are beautiful retouches, awfull photomanipullations and viceversa. So, there's not any confusion. Are different points of view, by the rest, very respectable both. I thank you very much for be so patient giving me these explanations.
