Awwww.. By 'up north' did you mean Alaska? It is definitely a beautiful place to live, but unless you LOVE winter, you wouldn't have loved the last couple years here...

I transferred down here with a company that lost it's contract shortly after and now I work for the State. Been in Alaska since 1982 I love how this winter was the longest on record....I'm thinking it might really be over now since we have sunshine all week here in Juneau
