An excellent photo, a beautiful church and a nice composition framed by trees.

..great shot - where slanting lines add rather than detract from the photo.

I truly have no words to convey just how powerful an image this is.
The crispness and clarity of the shot itself was wonderul, but the treatment post is truly a work worthy of high praise, just an amazing job.
Bravo!

Ooh. I'll remember to suggest that next time somebody tells me they're having a problem with uploading. It could very well be the same thing.

this is neat, Alimuse
from wideangle, a gothic tilt
though daylight, foreboding
only appears symmetric
a dimension we can't see
quantum fold reality
spooky geometrics,

Alicia, (one of my favorite names)
my daughter does some amateur photography,
tending to some of your themes. i must
send her your link. with her new camera,
maybe she will become active on dA once more.
i'm in CT. she's in Santa Fe, so far away...

an education, but hopefully,

will soon get better.

Oh, and also, I think the higher tower offset by the shorter one is seen fairly often. Perhaps the asymmetry was a part of the style of the time? It's not uncommon to see. As a matter of fact, I didn't really notice it until you mentioned it. Isn't that funny?

In my experience, these churches start out with one building and then gradually grow with added wings to accommodate growth. The wing you see out to the right is a covered space where someone can drive up and drop off an older, infirm person so that he or she won't have to get wet from rain or have the danger of slipping and falling. The building to the right of that covered space (of which you can see only an edge) is actually the "parsonage," the house where the preacher and his family live.
