[link] or [link] Color temperature is a measure of the "shade" of whiteness of a light source, again by comparison with a blackbody. Typical incandescent lighting is 2700K which is yellowish-white. Halogen lighting is 3000K. Fluorescent lamps are manufactured to a chosen CCT by altering the mixture of phosphors inside the tube. Warm-white fluorescents have CCT of 2700K and are popular for residential lighting. Neutral-white fluorescents have a CCT of 3000K or 3500K. Cool-white fluorescents have a CCT of 4100K and are popular for office lighting. Daylight fluorescents have a CCT of 5000K to 6500K, which is bluish-white.
The energy saver should be giving you 5000k It might have something to do with the paper .
Try using regular copypaper for the box .

OK! I followed a tut, from Da, where they cut holes in the side panels and shine the lights throught the tracing paper stuck over the holes? I moved it round the shop a bit today! The last place was right under where I do my elctro plating. Its got a pair of flourecent white daylight tubes on the underside of a shelf. The link you sent me the guy shines the lights onto the inside of the box? he seems to be using spots? hmmm? my budget is a little tight right now, but I must find the right lights to use and how to use them. The othe lights that I do have are those small down lights! I use them in my display cabinets! maybe i should give those a bash?

in the tut the box he makes is a cheap version so it kinda works . but not like a shoot threw because the material wouldn't hold up . So a way around that was the shoot in the box .
