Backstory:
Raised by primarily her mother, her father had had to forcibly leave the two, his pureblood family threatening to hurt her Veela mother if he did not leave them at once. She never had resentment towards her father, he still attempted to keep up communication, but he was never able to be home, only being able to sneak in visits for special days like her and her mother's birthday. She did not attend extra-curricular activities in school, but also took the opportunity to have top grades in order to potentially bring more respect to her name. Though, that was just her reasoning, who knows if the teachers actually noticed and or cared.
After school she was actually unsure of what field to go into, but that quickly changed as someone assaulted her mother with brute magic, having reported it to the police and having little to no follow up for the report. How dare they? After talking to other non-human friends, it seems that they have shared similar experiences such as hers. With her already excellent grades, she took that and put herself to the test by going after an auror position in the ministry at the age of 20, undergoing her training and finishing it roughly at the age of 21. Though, during her year of training, she persistently had visions of her dying in the field, enough times for it to shake her down mentally. She wasn't quite sure how much field work she could do without being too overcome by fear, so she let the Ministry know of her predicament. Having still caught the attention of her higher up, Phileas trusted her enough to have her work closely with him, taking up the job of secretary for the Dark Arts division.
