With that, she got onto all fours before, looking straight at the camera the cat positioned herself to show all she had to offer. "What do you think hmm? I know too serious..." I couldn't let go of her to someone else so I bought her and the terms were as long as I noted whom I purchased her from I could pretty much give her a makeover.... hence: Damiara La Chartreux. Well I've been a big lover of Luis Royo for the longest time, Dorian Cleavenger gives me my main philosophy on art about how it is a journey and should you ever find it hard to see where you can improve you need stop... In furry I look up to two main guys. Both helped to teach me... Mr. Jeremy Bernal, the founder and head of Sexyfur.com. Through him I've learned coloring to a much better standard and he also helped me learn lighting and angling it more so the end image looks as good as I can make it. The other is the man who really helped teach me to draw, Dr. Comet who's style I always default to when I do anything especially for myself. Loulabelle here and Damiara are both in Comet's style, Bernal's coloring techniques - combined in this one fox hehehe

*smiles brightly* I was actually going to stop drawing hot girls until all my friends on here, World of Warcraft, Aion.... even on Heat of the Night (Furry RP site) told me: don't do eet Claud! You're good at it and we love it too much for you to stop.... so I carried on hehe. Thank you all the same for that compliment. As for me, noes I'm not a girl myself: most of my girls are modelled by friends of mine for me or in the case of Luciana - my ex Cassandra Lafayette was the inspiration for and model of the fox. I was lucky in that regard, I got to draw sexy naked ladies for both fun and it was my job. I did work for the Sexyfur adult website for a number of years so it all worked hehehe then I got two friends bitching at one another who was getting her work first and it depressed me to the point I walked on my art and didn't draw for almost a year when Felicia the Catwoman (you can find her here in my DS folder... she's turned to us with her feet spread either side) came about *smiles*

hehe own butt *chuckles*. Yus I'm a guy though lots of my friends still call me 'she' or even write up Claudija for me when talking of me it's kinda cute. I still look at Feli proudly as she really was the start of my return to art so I love her. The same technique I painted her with I still use now but I have refined it since as you can see comparing Loulabelle 04 with Felicia. White is still annoying to tone I have to say *snickers*.

Loulabelle (black fur, white belly w/ purple hair) is a normal domestic house cat you could buy from a store. I'm sure I've seen one like her... or owned one hehe. White socks, white tail tip and white underbelly. When designing her I didn't really have a plan how I'd paint her fur pattern, I kinda just made it up but she worked out brilliantly for me hehe

Well self-search helps but for me I have models who are good buddies, model for me. You can also use the local library, they'll have books on anatomy. There's loads you can hunt down:-
How to Draw Manga (big series of books on all subjects in anime)
How to Draw Marvel (something along those lines to teach you how to draw Marvel style)
Human Anatomy (science books for usually medical aid are indispensable if you get your paws on one)
if doing anthro/furry like me: animal anatomy guides, National Geographic's website... any real-life ref you can find is extremely handy.
Live Art Books/ Life Art - you can find all sorts of stuff ranging from trees to people. There are even books helping with constructing a piece of work from scratch.
Anything that offers advice on comic book construction is handy, I am no expert on comics hehehe I'm an illustrator not a comic artist *snickers* but there is the other source: fellow Deviants as there's always someone doing a comic strip here and of course you can find hundreds of free webcomics for other helpful tips and ideas *purrs*

Hehe my ex, Cassandra modelled as Luciana and an online friend from Argentina, Felina: modelled as Loulabelle. Felina you can find on Suicide Girls, she's what they class as an: 'alternative' model. She's also funny as hell... Cassandra is living in the UK with her fiancΓ© though she still models for me and still tells me off for letting her go: I thought she deserved better than me and so after arguing for weeks: she agreed to date him so I'd see we were meant to be hehehe. She's been engaged for three years now and still tells me off *snickers*.
If you have a rough idea of her stats (Luciana's are provided on her profile if you want one like my ex), you can enter those in and get a looky at gals in the right size for your character *noddles* a word of caution though, you might very well end up halfway through a site with a boner *snickers*. For me I meet one like Fernanda Ramirez who then, talking to me, gets me in touch with her buddies and that's how Felina and I met. She's now one of my muses and keeps me laughing with her funny songs and silly faces though she doesn't half crack the whip so to speak: if I dare be late making the art she wants to be modelled for hehe

Cassandra and I are still very close friends *noddles*, lovely gal.... so yus hehe onto the art section here *chuckles*:-
Cassandra does have this amazing charm about her, though normally Felina does the silly stuff hehe. Felina you can find on the Suicide Girls website as she models for them normally. I've always been lucky with having models to do it for me which is cool. Though it used to be chaos with four at a time as each would be a different set of characters so I'd be drawing say Debbie as Gunbunny when Erica is stealing my eraser pen or something, just to wind me up *giggles*. I used to pay them in four ways:-
Always give a copy of the completed inkwork
Always a copy, digital or physical: of completed artwork
At least offer her half of the commission paid
Take her out for a meal or pick her up something instead if she didn't want any of the commission in hand
Everyone's different but you can also find what we call: 'stock' photos. These are free to use depending on model's guidelines and usually only request you link to the lady and/ or her original on posting or completion of your work. So I would have put down for Loula: Model: Felina Suicide suicidegirls.com/girls/felina/ like that. Cassandra hasn't got herself a website but I do get poked by her on Skype every so often to catch up hehe.
One laugh I had, my old boss: Jeremy Bernal who runs and owns Sexyfur.com, told me about this bar in the US. Basically you go into it like any other strip club but he'd provide sketchbooks so the patrons could draw their favorite girl as she was dancing away.... now that you have to admit: is one brilliant idea hehe. of course, it does give another excuse for your mom if she catches you looking at porn: "Honest mom, I'm studying her for a character I'm drawing.... nothing dirty.." My mother encouraged me all she could so I got lucky hehe but then without her positive encouragement Loula and Luci here wouldn't be *smiles*

Well strip clubs are for adults so if in your country you are considered one: you're in just keep that ID card like it's made of gold hehe. I'm 32 so I could go into US strip clubs being that 21 is their adult age and here in the UK where I live it's 18 for most things, 21 they want to raise smoking and alcohol to. I don't smoke and rarely drink so it doesn't bother me hehehe.
Felina's 23 at the moment (Loulabelle's model) and Cassandra my ex is 30 this year (Luciana's model) to give a rough idea but it does take some self-confidence to model period I think, to just stand or sit there however it is for such long periods.... even moreso if it's glamour or adult modelling you have them doing at the time. Felina's not my gf but a good friend so you could have a friend model just obviously she has to totally trust you and be comfortable with it: you'd be surprised how many actually would model for a friend.
When I started out drawing for Dr. Comet, I was with a gal named Christina. Through her I met Cassandra, Isabella and about ten others who: along with winding me up like hiding my eraser hehehe, would model for various characters so I had a real reference to work from . As my former boss at Sexyfur said: the best reference is a real life one. You want to draw or paint something? Find it in your local store. You can always get samplers for material from anywhere. Linoleum is a good reference for shiny material, lots of carpets for making floors.... you can even get woods from hardware stores or DIY stores: there's really no substitute to natural.
As for little sister hehehe she shouldn't be looking at your stuffs. What you need is a box file or similar (it tends to be a sort of cardboard box with a sealed top that has a strong lever inside to hold papers in.) they use them in offices and libraries to store documents and other paperwork. I have to get one myself as the plastic folder my artwork's in really isn't good hehe. But yus, you can even get metal ones with a lock for the latched top to stop her getting hold of 'private' shall we say? artworks. My only worry has always been the sketchbook.... not getting them but not having the darned thing fall apart on me hehe. I've never been lucky. Either Comet had it and not sent it home hehe, we sold it for charity (someone somewhere has both mine and Jeremy Bernal's Sexyfur master book that contains all the original sketches, development and finalised works from like six years of the site's existence) or as normally happens to me: all the drawings decide to be free and like The Great Escape: my artworks float to the floor and I'm left holding the cover hehe.

I kinda like your trade, vibrant coloring I must say my friend *nods* mine tend to be more reserved than that with color *chuckles*. Then again I tend to be a stickler for that weird thing called.... realism. Loulabelle having purple hair isn't real I grant that but some girls do dye their hair in really wild, random colors sometimes hehehehe. Thor 2 was amazing, it's really worth watching if you get a chance as it has everything from humor to action, little romance and lots of ossum fight scenes... I do highly recommend both it and 'The Wolverine' if you like the characters. Very good movies *nods cutely*
