Soooo.......

Long story on this one.

WAAAAAY back when I tried to do a contest. I needed ideas on designing a Spirit Dragon. Two people. MARK ME! TWO! Entered.

Very sad.

The Spirit Dragon I was trying to design would become the Spirit Guardian of my character, Rhaidon, the Prince of Juronia. And please don't make me go into a HUGE spill on his story just now, okay? WAAAAY too involved and it's not completely settled yet.

Also very sad. How long has this taken me now? >:E

Anyway, the one on the left was the closest idea I had but it's a pain in the but to draw unless I'm doing ONLY the profile. This is the image that came to mind after watching Mai Hime. The mecha dragon in that series, Kagusutsuchi, was fantastically incredible. He's part of the reason a Spirit Guardian - or the idea rather - came to life. And in this picture the dragon is fantastically striking.... but so hard to draw from head on.

The dragon on the right is an idea my sister gave me which I just flat out rejected. She had the idea that MAYBE little Suki was Rhaidon's Spirit Guardian and that MAYBE she could take on this huge form and master all this cool power when he needed her the most. I have to admit I liked the idea. Suki is most definitely with him nearly 90% of the time. But..... I'm a nut case. I like Suki as she is too much. She's so stinkin' CUTE as just a LITTLE dragon. I mean, it'd be cool for her as a character to be able to do that, to be able to protect her friend whom she loves so dearly but..... NO! Just can't do it. The design of a 'Spirit Dragon' Suki looks pretty cool, but I think I'm gonna skip this one.

So ..... yeah ....

That's that. I've got two more I need to do. These next two may not be posted for some time. And they'll feature the same dragon, just with different design schemes. I want something that's fun, easy and interesting to draw so we'll see how that goes.

I'm still very partial to the one on the left. But we'll have to see.
