'Killer Instinct' has finishing moves comparable to the Fatalities in 'Mortal Kombat', meaning all its characters are willing and able to KILL. To my knowledge, 'Darkstalkers' does not. That gives Sabrewulf a HUGE advantage, as he's more ruthless, brutal, and relentless (knowing if he relents, his opponent will literally tear him limb-from-limb) BY DEFAULT.

So after researching the two, I would have to give this to Jon Talbain for three reasons.
1. Speed and Agility: Jon Talbain definitely outclasses Sabrewulf in that category, having bullet time speed reaction, seeing Sabrewulf, he's definitely faster than the average human, but compared to Jon Talbain, he's really slow and clumsy from the gameplay I've seen from him.
2. Long-Ranged Attacks: ItΒ seems Sabrewulf doesn'tΒ have any long-range attacks, so that's definitely a big disadvantage, Jon Talbain on the other hand does however and it involves around with magic, so that's a great advantage for Jon Talbain.
3. Better Fighting Style: Sabrewulf's fighting style wouldn't be able to do that well against Jon Talbain's, whose fighting style consists of Marital Arts, whereas Sabrewulf fights alot more feral and animalisticly.
Overall, Jon Talbain would be the winner of this fight. Don't get me wrong, it's a close fight, but like I said, those three factors I listed above gives the victory to Jon Talbain.

J. Talbain, he is WAY faster then Saberwulf
as long as he stays out of Sabers rang and keeps getting chip shots, Talbain will come out with little battle damage

I agree with you Talbain has better long range abilities but Sabrewulf has the better mid to close range style because he's much more feral and vicious

what I would like to see is Valkenhayn Hellsing vs Saberwulf or Talbain
he has very good control and tends to think many step ahead in a fight
but also can be rather vicious and brutal in a fight, all the while taunting his opponent saying "it would appear that I have tried"
plus he has live WAY longer then both so he has learned numerous skills Β to combat them both
and then make miss Rachel some teaΒ
