I love this! Yay for those of us who are able to live our lives without having to have something to mindlessly follow!
One last bit of info for you. In recent studies, it shows that those who are liberal and atheist have a higher IQ, and certain parts of their brains are MORE EVOLVED. This is because throughout time, humans have had to be able to use quick problem solving, and adapt to a quickly changing environment. Cool, huh?

Nice xD Only thing is- Buddha isn't (and was never considered to be) a god. And no one ever fights in the name of Buddha. >_<

While Buddha is not a deity by his own making, an entire personality cult built up around the man, effectively turning him into a pseudo-god. Buddha himself said not to turn his teachings into a religion and not to follow him, yet the exact opposite has prevailed.
Also, Buddhism does have its share of extremism. One group called Armed Front for the Defense of Sinhalese is known for attacking Muslims in Sri Lanka.
Buddhism is just as much a superstitious and faith-driven belief system as any of the Abrahamic religions. It's just not as much of an issue for the western world.

It's not entirely faith-driven. Certainly, one could (and does) argue that reincarnation is a total load but a lot of Buddha's teachings were observations from the life he lived instead of dogmatic, faith-driven things.
