It's cute but this raises the interesting question whether Velociprapters could be infected by Bubonic plague...
Squirrels are carriers but can they infect reptiles?

Thank you.
She's a bird. There have been cases of modern birds killed by the bacteria causing the plague, but it mainly affects mammals. Realistically speaking the JP/W dinosaurs should fall victim to a number of modern diseases they have not evolved to have any resistance to, and in general probably not survive for long as a result of difference in microorganisms between now and millions of years ago, including those that should form the dinosaurs' own necessary microbiota like intestinal flora. Unless InGen cloned those, too, I'm guessing they did something to make the animals capable of surviving in the present day with the germs and things we've got around now, and the "did something" part is flexible enough that one can probably just imagine the clone dinos have been made immune somehow, if one is worried about them catching some specific disease. Or not, if that's the angle one wants to explore.

Oh, the squirrel is going to get eaten. She just needs to show it off to her parents first.
Reaper sounds like a resourceful little raptor (or perhaps no longer so little?).

Part of me wonders what she would feel like with that's fluffy down on her. I would like to think smooth and soft but I know some birds downy can feel kinda prickly and stiff o=

I'd say because of her fathers genetics prickly and stiff.

Its called asexual reproduction. Remember she isn't a true raptor who knows what they used to to make her other than black throatΒ monitor lizard.

kosmonauttihai In reply to Wildblytz [2019-04-18 14:41:17 +0000 UTC]
Well, since the only things we know of being in the recipe for making this version of JP raptor are whatever dromaeosaurid is called Velociraptor in the universe this franchise's story takes place in and black-throated monitor, and monitor lizards don't have feathers, I would say it's whatever kind of feathers/down the dromaeosaurid had.
Blue is her only biological relative, and Blue was created in a lab, so there is a distinct lack of fathers at any point in the equation.

True but I had a theory blue was made from the pseudo-feather raptors from Jurassic park three because of a few similarities i noticed between them. ( those being their higher intelligence compared to the one in the other movies and their color patterns )
