I think mostly looking at references of various kinds of raptor babies. The JP/W movies and other media features some of that kind, but I also find birds' nesting habits interesting, and especially for the fluffy babies I've drawn there's a lot of inspiration from watching real baby birds, too. In particular I've been following a few bald eagle nests this winter and spring via nestcams (the "wing hug" in this picture is actually referenced from how the eaglets sometimes sleep).
