Long ago, a villager stumbled upon a cave on the edge of a gentle stream. The cave was dark and damp, so the villager, overcome by curiousness, went back to the village to grab a friend, a large torch and some other supplies to explore the cave. The two villagers traveled deep into the tunnel-like cave until they came to an open chamber, and they couldn't see the floor or ceiling of the cave due to the enormous size of this chamber. Suddenly, a low growl echoed from below them, and a dark dragon-like beast came up through the darkness, illuminated only by their single torch. Various skulls adorned the beast's body, and thick, talon-like claws gripped the walls of the chamber as the creature navigated upwards. The two villagers now knew exactly what this beast was-- it was the beast in many of their village's legends!

They say only one of the villagers made it home that night.

Legends of the village state that this creature was bound to this cavern by a powerful priest due to its destructive behavior, and to this day, the creature lies in wait and in rage from its confinement. The priest, having compassion for the beast, ordered dark creatures such as crows and bats to bring it food. Despite its notorious destructive history, some villagers still seek the beast out-- some say that if you drop a skull into the cavern for the creature, any wish may be granted. However, if the creature is upset with your offering, you will not make it out of the cavern!
