Another interior B&W (no it will not be painted) illustration for Peter S. Beagle's upcoming collection THE FIRST LAST UNICORN AND OTHER BEGINNINGS, which will be coming out from Tachyon Publications sometime in late 2004/early 2005. This picture is something I never would have associated with your style actually. It looks somehow like something I know from some other artist - and the fact that it will remain a pencil drawing is rather intruguing - don't know why...
It looks like a horde of demoinoid rabbits under water 
I hope that this illustration book will come out where I live, but somehow I doubt it. I suppose I have to order it over the internet again, once I know it's out and I should feel the need to own it.

Hey wow. This seems to have a new style twist I haven't seen in your pictures yet. The creatures don't look so much like the ones you usually draw/paint. Or perhaps it's just that you I haven't seen so many drawings from you. But this is just freakingly funny picture 8) They look so... stupid? Or perhaps thats just the way they wan't others to see them... but really they are very cunning... Oh, so many eyes in the pic 8) Great work, as usual.

some of them look a bit like cats and others like the two hugging each other look like rabbits. that one on the right side looks like a puffer fish!!! hehe. i like this one alot, most of all the soft shading, gives it that figment look.

On first look, it made me think of "Watership Down". Don't know why, I guess they look a bit like rabbits in some cases, but I always found the cartoon movie creepy (enjoyably so) and the book was just as much so in some places. Just curious, what part of the project is this for? I like it muchly, creepy gobliny rabbit beings...*

There is something of the macabre here... It reminds me of those stories that told of goblins dancing on nights when the moon is dark and there are hardly any stars in the sky.
But at the same time, they look quite...cute, I suppose is the word, with their big eyes and strange grins. Still, I would not want to bump into any of these on a moonless night.
