Great characters but the priest is giving me the biggest shivers of them all.

I've been loving these. Seeing the evolution of the designs through your sketches and seeing your thought process ironing these out the designs really has been fascinating. The research and detail you've poured into this setting really grounds it in a way that a lot of period stories don't get at times.

Aw, thank you! I'll keep digging and doing that research. I know the characters are very exaggerated at times, so I try to keep other aspects accurate so that it seems more "believable".

The monk is my fav. They're all great, though.

Does the Priest actually have some form of Dwarfism, or does the cartoon-y art style just render him very short?

My favourite is definitely the Inquisitor of these guys, but the Monk is great as well.
Yeah, I like thin, shady characters. DON'T JUDGE ME!!!!
I also have to say, great job on the hands!

O.o in all honesty, if I ever had to face any of those church people... I'd just stop being catholic. Bye, see you, I'm off to hide somewhere that you can't find me!
Lol, but this is great. i love the color schemes and how much character comes through just their poses alone. It's also great to see how much variation there is between body types.
I'm rooting for you to get an A++ on your assignment. ^.^ You've done a lot of good work.

I was raised Protestant as a child ... I remember one priest I really really really like. He was terrific, a really funny guy.
The rest ... not so much.

Lol. Yeah, I know the priest we had at my church for a long time I loved having, but I haven't been back since they changed priests because everyone talks about the new guy being very... stubborn and set in everyone having to follow his way, the priest before him actually refused to let my parents marry or baptize me, so they had to find someone above him in the church system.
Still, if any of the priests I'd known were like those three, I would definitely refuse to go. I'd just hide away and choose not to go anywhere near them. lol.

I used to get dragged off to church in the Philippines when I was small, and the priests there were just off their rocker. I don't speak Tagalog but my mom would translate for me, and he'd be damning them all for their sins, if you attend a different sermon at a different church you'll be going to Hell, etc. etc. etc.
That's not a good religion to me.

Dang. That does sound bad. O.o I know my church they kept telling all of us to try at least one mass/sermon with other churches and religions before our confirmation. (I... am way past the age I'm supposed to have one and still haven't gone through it, so I am just exploring. lol) and encouraged it because you're supposed to chose wether you stay a catholic or transfer over to a different religion during your confirmation.
It's always strange hearing what some other christian religion/regions with christian religions do... I would hate church as well if I had that type of experience.

That's a nicer way to look at it. At this church literally EVERYONE left in tears, and the priest was wailing and crying and it was just the worst place to spend an hour of your life every Sunday as a child.

Rasputin never crossed my mind; he's inspired by Fagin from Oliver Twist, and later by Christopher Lee.

if you're talking about Rasputin from the movie Anastasia, that is a Fox movie, not Disney... though the animation is very similar.

It's one of those amusing things where, though Disney never tried to take credit... they still manage to get it.
