Haaa, took me a while to find the original of the print you have on your front page, and I thought there was detail in that. I think you got the face dead on, I always imagine pan to be either a little kid or to look something very, very, similar to this.

i love that stuff too! legends are full of gods, fairy folk, trolls etc that are half animal, so it's something we humans have been doing for a long time! horned gods are all over europe: modern pagans are right into them too! i still have a half finished hulder somewhere, which is a beautiful female troll with a cow or fox's tail..

This one is very good, but I find a problem in it: the head and body of Pan seem a little disconnected to me. I don't know, but maybe you take a picture as a model for the head, and later added the body? Well, it happened to me once, that a used a picture as model for a body, and later added the head, and the result was not good. Anyway, maybe I'm wrong. But I see/feel that little disconnection, and just wanted to comment it to you.

the head & body were one pic, but the legs are where i see probs! and the goat's head & body! funny how i was so excited when i first finished it, but now i can see probs everywhere! might be the shadows under Pan's neck that need tweaking maybe? oh well.. it's all experience! thanx, BTW

The goat's head and body are perfect. Maybe it's what you say about shadows. And you are right, the right leg of Pan is too thin. Anyway, it is a great job.
