"He's fantastic!" Madison exclaimed, pulling up L'assassin to a stop at her mother's side, slightly out of breath. Rosa rolled her eyes. She'd lost count of how many times she'd heard that from her daughter today.
"What about him is fantastic though? I need a little more information here," Rosa said running her hand down the stallion's legs, inspecting for any flaws.
"I don't know, he just feels kinda special! He's so full of energy, he just bounces all over the place!" Madison giggled, and Rosa sighed.

Madison took a moment to run her eyes over all the horses in the arena. She'd ridden so many today, and almost all of them had been perfect in her eyes. They were all well-bred, well-mannered performance horses. And so many spots! Most of the horses at home were fairly bare in terms of markings, and Madison was excited by the possibility of bringing home a flashy, spotty horse.
"Well, we still might not bring one home, we have a lot to do this trip and none of them are really standing out yet," Rosa sighed, breaking into Madison's spotty-horse-filled daydream, filling her with a pang of disappointment.
"There's still plenty to go, I'll go get the next one lined up," Madison said, dismounting and handing off L'assassin to the next perspective buyer.
Rosa took a moment to sit down and watch as Madison went to find another horse to ride. It was going to be a lot of transport, vet checks and paperwork to get a Canadian Donstrupper back to Australia, but she had been convinced that it would be worth it. She'd always admired the flashy, sporty horses and the chance to try some of this calibre was definitely exciting, but now she was here assessing them she had started to worry. It wasn't long before Madison brought out the next contender, Once in a Blue Moon , and Rosa stood, turning her attention back to the horses' gait.
The mare was incredibly soft and calm as she bounced loosely along the fence line, despite the clamouring of the horses in the clinic arena. She held her head proudly and made herself shown, her big loopy steps framed by the elegant swish of her flaxen tail. Madison rode her a few times around the arena, smiling the whole way. Rosa liked how this mare held herself. She was confident, but very relaxed.
Madison pulled her up next to Rosa, and giggled loudly, "okay I know I said I liked the other ones, but-"
"Hmm she's a little pigeon-toed; just ever-so-slightly" Rosa said, observing how the horse held herself square.
"As long as she's not pigeon-faced though, hey?" Mason shouted to her, snorting with laughter at his own joke as tousled the big chestnut's mane. Cassonade looked as unimpressed by the joke as Rosa did, and she could swear the horse shot her a sympathetic look.
Rosa shot him a very quick glare, before returning to the mare, "I don't think it'll bother her too much though. Do a few more laps and see how she is, I might get the paperwork on this one and read up a little more about her, I think we've got our bid."
