Haha! Yeah my brother sometimes tells me that, too. And the sad part is, I did't even enjoy Tangled. Hahahaha!

Seriously, though, thanks so much. It's a huge compliment! I'd like to work for any big animation studio, but I have no training or experience in the field, so it's a long ways off before I can even begin to think about it.

But I love drawing and that's enough for me. I don't care too much about making a career out of it if it'll take the fun out of it.

I love playing piano (if you can even call it that, sounds more like a 90's dial-up modem when I play) so I knew I needed a character who's got the uber Mozart skills.

OH YESSSS That poor piano probably feels abused cause I take out all my feels on it. Depressed? Go to the piano. Angry? Piano.  Happy? Piano!!!!! XD    Apparently I play with Emotion??? (Proably cause I'm always in some sort of mood when I attack the poor thing.  O.O)


I don't know if I actually have a recording of myself??   I had to record my songs once to get into a piano camp at a college near me, but I don't know if my brother saved it?? >_>

I really wasn't joking when I said I play badly. I've only had my keyboard for a year and a half, which is when I started playing. I'mma try to answer your questions the best I can. Nope, I don't read music unless it's around the middle C range (I have beginner piano lesson books for kids lol), and I don't play any distinguishable songs (outside of those in the kids' books). I mean, I figure out tunes by ear like anyone else, but I don't think that counts. I really enjoy Chopin's piano pieces the most of all the classical music I got in my playlist. Something about his stuff makes me super relaxed and sleepy. And I'd love to be able to learn to play anything by Mozart, if only for the street cred. My keyboard has a pre-programmed Turkish March on it, so I sometimes sit and copy that and pretend I am an awesome Asian pianist.

Drawing's my thing, so it's fun to have a creative outlet that I don't take so seriously.  I just firmly believe you don't have to know what's going on to enjoy something. So nope don't care bash bash bash!!!  

AND WOW! I think it's SO BRILLIANT that you play with emotion. Perfect execution and technique means nothing if there's no feeling to it, mostly because emotion is what everyone understands, while technique really flies over us lay people's heads like whoosh!! Please do check if you have any recordings, because I'd love to hear you play!

I've had some issues before with people (important instructor type people) who've complained about how I play, to the point of making me leave the camp I was at early. I actually stopped playing for about a year after that. It was really very depressing to be told you're not good enough to perform. >_>  stupid lady. Then I met this really cool guy on a cruise who worked as the nighttime pianist who really helped me out.  So Professionals? Blah. The fun awesome people who play cause they like it? 


Um um um .. okya.....  Favorite song is hard. Depends on what genre??  Ummm classically, my favorite song to play is Chopin's waltz in C sharp minor? (the one I was told I wasn't good enough to play. heh. shows them.  )  Umm for fun I have two, I play a lot of movie themes, so Jack Sparrow from POTC when I'm feeling pirate-y, and the theme from Howl's Moving Castle when I'm just like blarghhh need to play preeetyyy thingssss.  

I desperately want to learn (classical) Dance Macabre by Camille Saint Saens   and (fun) Phantom of the Opera overture.    Alas, Dance macabre will probably take me a few years cuase its like 27 pages long and like 9 minutes total.  and Phantom I have no sheets for so I'm trying to lear by ear...? (Basically meaning that will take about a year too lol or more.)


OKAYYY now that I've basically talked your ear off (hypothetically, since...this is a written messge...and...ANYWAYS) I think I'll let you enjoy your Sunday! (unless, it is, in face, NOT Sunday where you live...)


And I promise I'll look for a recording for you okay?

Haha! Yeah, I love bashing out sounds on my little Yamaha keyboard, so I just HAVE to have a character who plays piano. I plan to draw more piano pictures as soon as I research the type of piano the character might have owned.

I guess ol' LJV would play whatever sheet music's lying around. I doubt he's musically inclined. He only took up the piano because the Mansion gets insanely quiet and it's the only instrument in the place that doesn't suck. I think he'd play anything that sounds heavy and miserable, like he is. Until Ruth comes in and badly plays whatever qualifies as pop music in the 1880's—in C major, no less. So I thought it'd be funny if Lord Joshua tried to teach her another song to save his delicate ears, but of course she's bored out of her skull and not interested at all. Kind of like your dad trying to convince you that Van Halen is better than Taylor Swift.

And yes, Ruth's hair is the constant bane of my existence. Sometimes I get it right, other times I ruin it completely. I shall figure it out someday, darnit!!!
