sooo here is a tutorial you've been asking for
Some of you at least,others just said YES
Anyway,haha,it looks like "drawing for dummies" ahaha XDD sorry about that.
There are just quite a lot of people(I guess) who has never used SAI or whatever else so I decided to make it quite clear.Because I remember myself staring at all those buttons,haha
I said I am not very good in it,but it took quite a lot of time so I would be really appreciate if you could comment
and anyway,hope it helped
EDIT:it seem like quite a lot of people(my mother included) said it was better without texture thing.It seems like it true this time,but I tried to make a tutorial like I do always draw a picture,so..haha,but you're right though XD

ur program may work a lil diff than hers, or u might've pressed too hard (if ur using a tablet)... maybe try a smaller size? hope this helped.

I don't understand this texture business. Is it just like a filter over the top of your art?
Also is there a reason you don't use black for your lineart other than personal preference?

Salutations! Um, I really like this process tutorial and it's really useful, but it seems to give softer shadows?? And I was just looking at some of your art and some of it has harder shadows, so I was just wondering do you still use the same process with that? Thanks

There's Sketchbook Pro, or Procreate, although Procreate is six dollars. ย I have it, and it's worth the price. ย You just need to download the procreate handbook or read the PDF, because I was incredibly stupid and went ahead without reading the handbook. ย
Sketchbook Pro is a dollar cheaper and has some tools Procreate doesn't, such as a duplication tool, but I've heard it sometimes doesn't save drawings. ย Hope this helped!

Wow this is fantastic and really helpful! If you don't mind me asking, how do you make your lineart match the color of what you're coloring?

When you set the lineart layer to multiply, the colors underneath it will show through a little bit- blending the line color and the flat color. This can look back sometimes like if you have a yellow line and a blue color. Then you'll have a random green line in your lineart.
Just think of the colors you plan to use for the picture. Any shade of brown or mid to dark orange for your lineart works with most all colors (except blue sometimes). A dark grey brown, dark blue or mid to dark grey line works better for a picture you plan to have more cool toned colors in.
Sorry I know you didn't ask me, I just figured I'd try to explain it to you cuz I know she can't get to all comments.

I LOVE YOU SO FREAKING MUCH RIGHT NOW YOU COULD NOT EVEN IMAGINE!!!!!!!! I have been trying to figure out how to combine two files on SAI for MONTHS; I've been having to take it to Photoshop to put in a background or texture and then converting the file makes the lineart layer into a normal one and it's been driving me CRAZY for so long now!
