Very mysterious and obfuscated in her defensive pose.
I like the intense green colours that seem to pervade the piece. They generate this disconcerting aspect to her especially when coupled with that direct stare she has.
The scarf draped over her shoulders is an interesting touch. I've been looking at a lot of Dejah Thoris from John Carter of Mars and I'm undecided as to the effect minimal accoutrements have on the human form. I think in this instance she has a regal bearing. It implies choice on her part of the nudity breaking away from its alternatively exposed and derogatory effect.
Interesting piece overall. There's a power here to her stalwart bearing and the intense colours. Analysing really make me think that's for sure.
