I love the vibrancy from this. The dark exterior, with the little butterfly in the middle, as if it were the light source... very fun! And it looks great as an icon too! Lovely work dear.Β

When I first saw this, I kinda took my breath away. It's a simple, yet beautiful drawing. I like the rough and fast style, that adds to the atmosphere. ... And maybe it's just me, but I see some deep symbolic meanings up there I'm not going to tell you what it symbolises to me, because maybe it's so different from what you intended. Anyway, gorgeous, I really like this

Thanks Just to tell you a secret, it doesn't actually have an intended deeper meaning. My dad wanted a picture he could use as an icon and I figured out he'd like something with a crow in it. The butterfly is based on a rather funny story I thought of as a kid and the whole piece might have also been slightly based on this song:Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=1B89Os…

You're welcome I already had a strong feeling that it didn't have a deeper meaning, which is why I was kinda embarrassed I immediately saw something in it. The song is pretty good, and the videoclip is really interesting
I dunno it just kinda looks like the darkness is trying to grab the last bit of light, after which the drawing will be completely dark...

Don't EVER feel embarrassed you see things in art that other people don't see! You're a person too, and you have depth that other people don't see. It's amazing, This looks so dynamic and it really moves. It's very spontanic and I love how it turns out. I bet your dad will like it. maybe it would've been interesting to make the moon a bit as bright as the butterfly, it would connect the foreground with the background, I suppose.

O thanks a lot I tried to make the moon brighter but it didn't look so well. I like it better like this, it gives the picture more depth. But thanks for the suggestion!Β
