uhm... with a lot of patience it's possible to cut every form out of the foam... then with a generouse amount of glue it will stick on... I don't have any pictures of the steps, I'm sory...

Sorry for asking, but in the first step, What do you mean by "glue the pieces together"? What pieces are you talking about?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Eressea-sama In reply to NinShroom [2013-03-07 09:11:15 +0000 UTC]

Well, to print out a pattern it should be the original size of what your later shield should become. - And if you (like me) don't have a printer taht is able to print postersize sheets you will be forced to prind the pattern in pices, cut them out and gue the sheets together to get one big pattern that has the size of your later shield.

Couldn't you also shape the shield out of that pnk foam that you find at hardware stores? I would think that it would be much easier, and you would get a smoother surface.

But I digress. Where on earth do you get latex milk? It sounds like it could be extremely helpful.

In fact, all of your tutorials seem like they're very helpful. I'm probably going to just be using bits and pieces from a few of them, but I really appreciate that you've put them out there for aspiring cosplayers.

I'm looking at making one for a cosplay and wondering where you found the foam to make it with? Did you get it from some sort of supply store or did you have to order it online?
