Here is something I wanted to do for a while since I've heard about this kind of paper, called the tan-toned, I think because it's brown. So, after my weekly chiropractor appointment last week, I went to Jo-Ann Fabrics (one of my favorite stores, and again it's my mom's favorite store too.) Anyway, I bought the tan-toned sketchbook along with a Bristol sketchpad and a gray-toned sketch pad. Those two were on sale. When I got home, I did some scribbling to see what will work on tan toned paper with colored pencils from different companies, such as Prismacolor markers, which kind of doesn't work too well because of the fact from what I believe, it makes the paper a little bit too dark.

Still, I did learn later that it will brighten with a lighter colored pencil.

Double anyway, lately, I've been playing another one of my favorite JS games again. Yes, Jumpstart 5th Grade: Jo Hammet Kid Detective, primarily for inspiration. For a while, I've wanted to draw the game's main antagonist, Dr. X. He is one of my favorite JS villains.
This drawing took me maybe just a few hours to do last Wednesday. Just so you know, this was my first drawing on toned paper, it was challenging, but I managed to get it done. I missed a few spots when I was coloring the lab coat, which I've noticed while editing this picture. DRAT!!!

I drew this picture in pencils, marker, pen, again, tan-toned paper, and edited it in Photoshop CC.
