Looks good! I don't think you over shaded anything actually, it just looks like a really warm fire.

Avoiding drawing Link's face, huh? :'P You drew him really well this time. The shading on the rocks is good and I like that smoke (it actually looks like smoke, holy smokes :'D), but...my biggest gripe here is that rain. Like, ugh. At first I thought it was just very boringly done snow falling, but nope, it's rain (or at least you mention rain in the tags). Maybe you should practice making decent rain effect next time?
Aside from the rain (and fire) this is really nicely done.

not really, i'm quite alright with faces now (it'd just be awkward to have him stare at the inside of a tiny cave just to get a camera shot)
ugh don't even mention it. the drops are too thick and tiny and i hate the way it turned out. i went over it with a blue coloured pencil to try and have them stand out less, but i'm not happy with it. i know i need them to be thinner, and probably longer, i just couldn't decide on a way that made me actually like it (i feel like it would have looked better if it was just cloudy)
what's wrong with the fire tho, may i ask? i thought it came out fine

My problem with that fire is that's not how a campfire looks like. You just made a big blob with very strong red outlines. I've made few campfires myself, and I know what they're like: the flame is very wild, yellow and orange-ish shade, and the flames are very sharp in shape. The flames can be tall but often they're short and widely spread across the burning area, at least with that amount of wood.
I know personally that drawing and painting fire can be tricky (it took me years to make them decently) but just as long as you are not tricked by how some cartoons or other things do it, you should be good.
